Patient Advocacy

The role of the pharmacist in the health care system is that of the drug expert in a team of professionals charged with improving your health. Of course, those pharmacists who work to develop and maintain relationships with other health care professionals will be better equipped to work with you and on your behalf.

The pharmacists at The Prescription Shop enjoy a unique and productive relationship with the physicians, nurses, counselors, and other staff at Carleton University Health and Counselling Services.

The relationship you build with our pharmacists is equally important and based on trust and mutual respect. Any information that you share with our pharmacists is considered confidential. Please refer to our privacy policy. The Prescription Shop offers both private and semi-private counseling areas that enhance privacy when discussing your medications answering your questions.

This relationship also includes helping you to afford your medications. The Prescription Shop can bill electronically (directly) to the Carleton University staff and student drug insurance plans as well as most other insurance plans. Please bring your drug insurance card or student card to the pharmacy when you fill your first prescription.

Medication questions?
