Fees

The fee for an assessment is $65. The fee includes a pre-travel assessment by a pharmacist and covers the amount normally charged by Carleton University Health Services for injection of any prescribed vaccines ($25) but does not include the cost of vaccines or medications.

For those students who are covered under the undergraduate and graduate insurance coverage, your plan does cover the cost of vaccines and medications. The staff plan does cover the cost of medications (like antimalarials); however, it does not cover the cost of vaccines. For those who have private insurance, not with the school, you would need to contact your insurance provider to find out if vaccines are covered.

Administration of vaccines is provided by nursing staff at Health Services. Please note that appointments may be required with nursing staff for vaccine administration. An assessment must be completed at the pharmacy prior to administration of vaccine.
